The New Life One Year Chronological Reading Plan

We are excited to introduce to you our One Year Chronological Reading Plan for the entire church. We feel the importance of being in the word and being on the same page together. So like a smaller unit family, we thought that we would engage the large New Life family in a year long reading plan.
“7 SUCCESSFUL SECRETS to STICKING with your BIBLE READING PLAN”
1. SET A GOAL: wanna read through the bible in one year – good! Now write it down and post it where you can see it daily.
2. ACCOUNTABILITY: Whether you ask someone to help out or you make a chart, just the thought that someone is going to ask “how are you doing with your BRP?” or that there is going to be a gap on your reading chart may be enough for you to muster up the umph to read each night.
3. CHOOSE THE SAME TIME or SCHEDULE TIME EACH DAY TO READ: making it a priority by choosing the same time each day works best and sets you up for success.
4. KEEP IT EXCITING: Motivation vs. discipline. . . Read out loud in a dramatic voice, take turns reading, oooh how about reading by candlelight. . .?
5. REWARD YOURSELF: Starbucks anyone? or what about keeping a loonie jar for every chapter you read. . .
6. LEAVE ROOM for ERROR: exercise God’s grace – we are not striving for perfection, but to have a closer relationship with our Heavenly Father through His amazing Words
7. CONSISTENCY IS THE KEY. . . . “EASY PEASY LEMON SQUEEZY”
Together we can do this and begin to change our lives and the lives of those in the city around us. Just like the Kelowna slogan says, “Fruitful in Unity?” Imagine the power of everyone in New Life all reading the same passages every day. Think of the revelation and the unity it’s going to bring us.
