Giving is one of the ways we seek to bless God and acknowledge Him as the source of everything we have and everything we own. Whilst there is nothing you can give God that He needs, when we give to Him an offering, we say, “God, I love you. I’m thinking of you. I want you first in my life.”
Giving (as spelled in the original Hebrew) is a palindrome (a word, phrase, or sequence that reads the same backward as forward, e.g., madam or Abba). The Jewish rabbis believe that God established giving as a way to bless us. What we put in He returns to us in blessing. “What you so you will reap.” Galatians 6:7
Giving is one of the ways that you participate in seeing God’s calls and purposes on New Life fulfilled. The reality is that many of the activities and missions we engage in require finances.
Did you know that 15% of your giving goes directly to missions
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
